The Doblo is one of Fiat’s longest-serving van names, and the latest model is as popular as ever. Available as an electric model for the first time, the e-Doblo uses tried-and-tested technology shared with several models in the vast Stellantis group. Offered in standard or long-wheelbase forms, it’s a great electric van to lease for businesses or fleets.
Key highlights
The Fiat Doblo has been around since the year 2000, but this generation is the most advanced model yet. It’s also the first to be available with smooth and silent electric power alongside regular diesel versions.
Reckon it looks familiar? That’s because under the skin the Fiat e-Doblo is nearly identical to other Stellantis group vans such as the Citroen e-Berlingo and Vauxhall Combo Electric. It has the same smart interior, too, with equipment available including a touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and a rear-view mirror camera to make reversing a doddle.
The e-Doblo is offered in standard (L1) or long-wheelbase Maxi form, with two or three seats available, up to 4.4m3 of load area and a payload of up to 800kg. The e-Doblo can also tow up to one tonne.
Performance and range
Equipped with a 50kWh battery pack, the Fiat e-Doblo promises a range of up to 175 miles in official tests, which translates to around 149 miles in real-world conditions.
Peak charging speeds of up to 100kW allow for a 0-80% charge in around 30 minutes using a suitable rapid charger. A 134bhp electric motor gives sprightly performance, with a 0-62mph time of 11.7 seconds.
