The Peugeot e-Expert sets the standard for the medium-sized van category, alongside the mechanically identical Citroen e-Dispatch and Vauxhall Vivaro-e (Peugeot, Citroen and Vauxhall are all siblings in the Stellantis Group). Its combination of performance, competitive payload, range and quality are helping the French firm win over new customers.
Key highlights
The Peugeot e-Expert is available in two battery sizes as well as compact, standard and long bodystyles. Regardless of which version you choose, all versions have a 1,000kg towing capacity and offer more than a tonne of payload, ranging from 1,001kg up to 1,226kg, the highest payloads attributed to the smaller battery pack. There are neat finishes within the cabin and a full suite of driver aids available, but the range-topping e-Expert Asphalt Premium adds best-in-class technology including a head-up display.
Performance and range
The Peugeot e-Expert is available with either a 50kWh or 75kWh battery, providing an official range of 143 miles and 211 miles, respectively. There are three driver modes including Power, Normal and Eco, depending on whether you’re trying to push on for an emergency callout or conserve energy. All versions accept a maximum 100kW charging rate, meaning even the bigger 75kWh battery can go from a 0-80% State of Charge (SOC) in around 45 minutes.
