Car changing is a big deal
Vauxhall has unveiled the Corsa GSE Vision Gran Turismo concept – an EV hyper-hatchback that could be the inspiration for the next Corsa
The Vauxhall Corsa is a good little hatchback but it’s not exactly known for being exciting. But the Vauxhall Corsa GSE Vision Gran Turismo concept car turns that on its head. It debuts a wild new look and could signal a proper return of Vauxhall’s GSe performance sub-brand. It could also indicate that the next Vauxhall Corsa may be a bit more interesting than the current car.
The concept will make its debut in two places – first, at the IAA Munich motor show in September 2025, and digitally as a playable car in the video game Gran Turismo 7.

Vauxhall Corsa GSE Vision Gran Turismo: design
Any resemblance this GSE Vision concept has to the current Vauxhall Corsa is limited to the front end, where Vauxhall’s trademark ‘Vizor’ grille stretches across the width of the bonnet. It gets an illuminated badge as well as wide LED daytime running lights, merging into twin headlights at either end.
The bodywork is positively steroidal – huge, pumped-up wheel arches contain massive tyres and an interesting truncated triangular design in the alloy wheels. They’re unequal front to back, too – the front wheels are darker, and sit inside separate, blacked-out arch extensions, while the rears are merged within the bodywork and match its white colour.

The rear is even more dramatic, with a vast diffuser jutting out like a lantern jaw. The taillights echo the front daytime running lights, and instead of the Vauxhall logo the GSE Vision concept gets the Vauxhall wordmark spelled out in the taillights.
A huge rear spoiler, wide side skirts with the ‘GSE’ logo and plenty of yellow accents all over finish the effect. A distinct styling line also runs down the middle of the car – a feature also seen on Vauxhall’s production models, though rather more subtly than here.

At 4.19m long, 1.87m wide and 1.4m tall, the Vision concept is around 13cm longer, 10cm wider and 3cm shorter than the standard Corsa.
Vauxhall Cora GSE Vision Gran Turismo: interior
The minimalist cabin is set up for racing. The driver’s seat is integrated into the car’s structure and features robust bolstering and a six-point harness to keep you in place while cornering fast. Driving data is all presented via a single head-up display, rather than a traditional instrument cluster.

It’s not without concessions to the real world, though. The dashboard and door inserts are fabric-covered, and illuminate to indicate things like the blind-spot monitoring alert.
Vauxhall Corsa GSE Vision Gran Turismo: performance and 0-62mph
It wouldn’t be a new EV concept car without some ridiculous power figures. The Corsa GSE Vision Gran Turismo packs twin 476hp electric motors, one on each axle, for a combined total of 800hp and 800Nm of torque.

Vauxhall claims it’s good for 0-62mph in a seriously speedy 2.0 seconds, and a maximum speed of 199mph.

A boost function temporarily unlocks an extra 80hp, intended to make overtaking on track even easier. Meanwhile, an 82kWh battery should give plenty of stamina considering the performance on offer. You can be sure the Corsa will achieve these stats virtually in Gran Turismo 7, even if it won’t perform it in reality.
Is this our first look at the new Vauxhall Corsa?
The new Corsa will land in 2026, but we’ve not seen much of it just yet. It’s expected to utilise a new set of EV underpinnings, which should improve range and performance without compromising size or weight.
In styling terms, it’s set to take inspiration from the Vauxhall Experimental Coupe concept, namely the Vizor grille – which is similar to the one on the GSE Vision concept. Expect a rather more plush interior than the racer’s, but Vauxhall will dispense with the conventional driver display in favour of a head-up display.
Like with so many concept cars, the Corsa GSE Vision Gran Turismo will likely inspire some styling features for Vauxhall. And it could well signal a proper return of the GSE performance sub-brand for the EV era, much like Peugeot with its all-electric new 208 GTI.
