Colour guide
Metallic - Flame red
Free
As ever, it鈥檚 hard to go wrong with a good, strong red and the Captur鈥檚 Flame red option is an especially good one. It鈥檚 a little darker than some rival reds, but doesn鈥檛 stray too far into duller maroon or burgundy territory. Actually, it鈥檚 closer in spirit to an old-school Ferrari blood red. Is that a bit ridiculous for a compact crossover? Possibly so, but it still looks good.
Metallic - Arctic white
拢650
White is always a tricky colour for a compact crossover as it flirts with looking somewhat rental-car spec, but the Captur鈥檚 naturally handsome lines work well with Arctic white, especially if you pay extra for the contrast black roof.

Metallic - Ceramic grey
拢650
Ceramic Grey is a safe choice for the Captur, but it is a pretty dull colour. However, it's inoffensive enough that it should prove easy to sell when the time comes.
Metallic - Diamond black
拢650
You used to be able to get Diamond black with an optional contrast silver roof, which really worked rather nicely on the Captur. Sadly, that鈥檚 disappeared from the options list for now which leaves this metallic option looking just a little too plain. Classy, certainly, but plain nevertheless.
Metallic - Oyster grey
拢650
Oyster grey really ought to be a better, smarter colour option than Highland grey and to a point it is. There are warmer tones in it that help to make it look a little classier than the plainer Highland shade, but the problem is that you really need a sunny day to lift this shade properly. On a dull day it tends to look too much like beige.
Special metallic - Iron blue
拢750
Iron blue is a good, strong colour for the Captur, and as with some other blue options it looks dark and classy on a dull day, but has enough sparkle to look more enticing on a sunny day. The only problem is that it鈥檚 a little hard to justify the extra spend over (free) Boston blue.
