The 2025 Goodwood Festival of Speed kicked off on 10 July, and we’ve already seen loads of shiny new cars make their debut. Here’s a roundup of the show so far.

If you’re a keen petrolhead looking to indulge your passion for cars, the Goodwood Festival of Speed is an event you won’t want to miss. It runs from Thursday 10 July to Sunday 13 July on parkland surrounding Goodwood House near Chichester, and there’s plenty of rare and exciting metal to gawk at.

In amongst the one-off race cars and priceless classics there are plenty of all-new models being revealed and shown off for the first time, so here’s a rundown of a few exciting new cars you can expect to see.

Remember, you can buy a brand new or used car right here on Á«»¨Ö±²¥. And you can sell your car, too. We’re here to help you through every step of your car-changing journey.

New Hyundai Ioniq 6 N

This is the new Hyundai Ioniq 6 N, the brand’s second performance EV following the epic Ioniq 5 N. It’s powered by the same dual-motor setup putting out 650hp, and it shares the Ioniq 5’s simulated gearshift technology as well.

The Ioniq 6 N also has a clever drift mode which allows you to adjust the wheelspin and the angle of your drift. Order books for this bonkers electric car will open in a few months, with first deliveries expected in 2026.

New Chery Tiggo 8

Loads of new Chinese brands are popping up in the UK, and Chery is joining that ever-growing list with the new Tiggo 8. It’s a plug-in hybrid seven-seat SUV with 56 miles of electric range and loads of kit on board, and sales will start in the next few weeks.

Chery is actually the parent company of Omoda and Jaecoo, and it’ll be sold in dealers alongside the brands. Another SUV from Chery is also coming soon, potentially something a bit smaller than the Tiggo 8 to compete with cars like the Hyundai Kona and Skoda Karoq.

MG IM5 and IM6

MG has unveiled two new premium electric cars – the IM5 saloon and the IM6 SUV. Like the Tesla Model 3 and Model Y, the IM6 looks like a pumped-up version of the IM5. Both look pretty snazzy though.

Long-range versions of the IM5 SUV can do up to 441 miles on a charge thanks to a 100kWh battery, over 50 miles more than the Tesla Model Y Long Range. The IM5 will start from £39,450, while the IM6 will cost £47,995.

Chevrolet Corvette E-Ray

Fancy a bit of American muscle in the UK? Well Chevrolet’s going to start selling the new Corvette E-Ray in right-hand drive. It’s powered by a thunderous 6.2-litre V8 engine paired to an electric motor, and combined they produce 643hp.

It’s also the first ever four-wheel drive Corvette, and 0-60mph is dealt with in just 2.9 seconds. That’s the same as a Porsche 911 Carrera 4 GTS. Prices start from £153,440, or £159,230 if you want the convertible version, and first deliveries will start in September this year.

New Mazda CX-5

This is the new Mazda CX-5, a stylish and sporty SUV which goes up against cars like the Kia Sportage and Volkswagen Tiguan. The styling has been overhauled with new headlights and clean lines, although the overall vibe is pretty much the same as the old car.

It’s packing a 2.5-litre petrol engine with mild hybrid technology, and it puts out 141hp. You can choose between front-wheel and all-wheel drive, and sales start later this summer. You can expect a slight price increase over the old car though, with a figure of around £35,000 likely.

Aston Martin Vantage S

This is the Aston Martin Vantage S – a more agile version of the brand’s entry-level sports car. It has the same 4.0-litre V8 engine as the standard car with 680hp, but the throttle map has been tuned to make it feel more responsive when you put your foot down.

The Vantage S also has uprated Bilstein dampers which improve the car’s agility, and some of the suspension mounts have actually been made slightly softer to make it more comfortable at low speeds, and it allows the car to flow better on Britain’s bumpy roads by being a bit more forgiving.

New McLaren W1

McLaren will be showing off its new flagship at Goodwood – the W1. It’s the successor to the iconic P1 and F1 hypercars – just 399 will ever be built, and they’ve all been sold already at a cost of around £2 million.

It’s powered by a 4.0-litre twin-turbocharged V8 with a hybrid system to produce a combined 1,275hp, and this is sent to the rear wheels only. The McLaren W1 will do 0-60mph in 2.7 seconds, and it weighs just 1,399kg.

Renault 5 Turbo 3E

This crazy-looking thing is the Renault 5 Turbo 3E, a 555hp rear-wheel drive electric hot hatch which will hit the streets in 2027. Just 1,980 will be built, a nod to the original Renault 5’s launch date, and it costs an eye-watering £140,000.

At Goodwood you’ll be able to see a full-scale design model of the Turbo 3E, and there will be a Turbo 3E concept car, nicknamed Drifter, going up the iconic hill climb to give you an idea of what this car can do.

New Denza Z9 GT

BYD is bringing a new luxury brand to the UK called Denza, and the new Z9 GT is its first offering. It’s a large estate car which will be available as either a hybrid or an EV, and it has a few party tricks such as crab walking to navigate tight spaces.

Alongside the Z9 GT will be the D9, a big MPV with a focus on luxury, as well as the rugged-looking B5 SUV which looks a bit like the love child between a Toyota Land Cruiser and a Hummer H2.

Aston Martin Valhalla

The new Aston Martin Valhalla will also make its first public appearance at this year’s Festival of Speed. This is a driver-focussed supercar which has been tuned to be fun both on the track and on the road.

Powering the Valhalla is a 4.0-litre V8 engine with a hybrid system, and the combined power output is 1,079hp and 1,100Nm of torque. Just 999 of these cars will ever be made, and they’ve all been snapped up already.

Honda Super EV Concept

We now take a complete U-turn away from bonkers performance cars to take a look at a new compact electric car. This is the Honda Super EV concept – a funky-looking little thing which will take on the Hyundai Inster.

There are no technical details about this car just yet, and the only picture we have is this camouflaged one of the Super EV Concept on the streets of London – its natural habitat. More details will follow at Goodwood.

Praga Bohema

This is the Praga Bohema, a track-focussed supercar from Czechia. It uses the same 3.8-litre twin-turbocharged V6 engine as the Nissan GT-R, only here it produces 700hp. That’s plenty in a car which weighs less than 1,000kg.

The Bohema was actually on display at the Festival of Speed last year, but this is the first time it’s going up the iconic hill course. Fancy owning one of these limited-run supercars? Well you’ll need to fork out more than £1 million for the privilege.
