Metallic - Infra red
Free
Usually, a car鈥檚 free colour tends to be drab and boring, though that certainly isn鈥檛 the case with Infra red on the Kia Sportage. In fact, this vivid metallic red could very well be the Sportage鈥檚 most exciting colour. That鈥檚 great if you want the most eye-catching Kia Sportage you can buy, though this love-it-hate-it colour may be worth avoiding if you want to maximise the car鈥檚 resale value.

Premium paint - Experience green
Free
We reckon this is the best colour for the Sportage. Experience Green has a touch of 1960s Aston Martin about it, which is a bit above the Kia鈥檚 pay grade, but it鈥檚 a hugely handsome shade. Works nicely with the optional black contrast roof, but to be honest it doesn鈥檛 really need it.
Premium paint - Phantom black
Free
Like Dark Penta, Phantom Black is just too dark a shade for the Sportage, and it tucks away all of the nice little styling touches and makes the whole car look too plain. It鈥檚 classy enough, in itself, but not the right shade for this car.
Premium paint - Wolf grey
Free
Light greys aren鈥檛 the most exciting colours on paper, though the bright tone of Wolf Grey does work fairly well on the Kia Sportage. It helps this light grey to clearly show off the Sportage鈥檚 distinctive styling. There are a couple of things holding this colour back, though: it鈥檚 only available on the Sportage Hybrid-only Shadow trim, and as with all light grey paints it鈥檒l require regular washes to keep looking clean.
Premium - Lunar silver
拢675
The Sportage may be one of Kia鈥檚 more conventional models on sale, but it鈥檚 definitely not a conventional design. Lunar Silver is a subtle choice for the wildly-styled crossover and you can expect it to be popular as a result.
Premium paint - Blue Flame
拢675
A really strong colour, and Blue Flame is one of those bright metallic blues that has just enough darkness, and just enough of a flat finish that it looks classy rather than garish.
Premium paint - Dark penta metal
拢675
Dark Penta is a shade of metallic grey that鈥檚 so dark it鈥檚 almost black. Or at least it might as well be. It鈥檚 a classy enough colour in its own right, but it hides too much of the Sportage鈥檚 styling, which is a shame.
Premium paint - Fusion white
拢675
The Sportage is quite a complex-looking car, one that benefits from a strong colour, and this Fusion White is just too plain a shade for it, washing out the nicer styling elements. It can be optionally had with a contrast black roof, which helps, but it鈥檚 not the Sportage鈥檚 best colour.
Premium paint - Magma red
拢675
Premium two tone paint - Experience green with black roof
拢825
Green can be an excellent colour for those wanting something a bit different from run-of-the-mill colours like grey, black or red. This version with the black roof looks pretty stylish and it won鈥檛 show the grime as easily as lighter colours either.
Premium two tone paint - Fusion white with black roof
拢825
Fusion White with black roof is a pretty safe option and not particularly exciting. The black helps it to not look like a big fridge, but the Sportage comes in better colours than this.
Premium two tone paint - Lunar silver with black roof
拢825
It鈥檚 not the most exciting combination, but if you plan to sell your Sportage after a few years, this could certainly be an option, as residual values for silver cars are usually better. With the black roof, the silver paint looks quite stylish and can be quite easy to maintain.
