What is the best used dropside van?

If you want something seriously heavy-duty, then the Iveco Daily is a fantastic platform for a dropside van, but they can be too large for younger licence-holders to drive. The Renault Master/Vauxhall Movano/Nissan NV400 are all the same van under the skin and come highly-regarded as dropside conversions.

Should I buy a used dropside van?

There’s no reason why you shouldn’t - a used dropside is as good a purchase as any used van if it fits your needs. Make sure it’s a reputable dropside conversion, though - the bodybuilder’s name should be on the structure somewhere - and check the quality of the work. A poorly fitted dropside body may be unsafe or provide opportunities for the van’s chassis to rust.
