There are few vehicles in history which have caused quite such a stir as the Tesla Cybertruck. Whether you love it or hate it, you simply can鈥檛 ignore this rolling axe head.
If you fancy a Cybertruck in the UK, bad news 鈥 getting one legally registered on our shores is nearly impossible. One chancer near Manchester gave it a go, but quickly had his stainless steel pride and joy seized by the police. YouTuber Yianni Charalambous has also been trying to get his Cybertruck registered in the UK, but has hit multiple road blocks along the way.
A range-topping Cybertruck costs around 拢80,000 in the USA, but if you could get one over to the UK you鈥檇 be looking at around 拢100,000 once you鈥檝e paid import taxes, shipping and untangled the miles of red tape.
So for 拢100,000, what cars could you buy in the UK which will turn heads like the Cybertruck? We鈥檝e picked five cars which could fit the bill.

1. Mercedes G-Class Electric G580
The Mercedes G-Wagen is an iconic SUV with rugged styling and unstoppable off-road ability, and now it鈥檚 available as an electric car for the first time. It has four electric motors, 587hp and a party trick which is bound to get people looking at you.
It has something called 鈥淕-Turn鈥, a feature which can spin the car around within its own length. A Cybertruck can鈥檛 do that, but the Tesla is also quite a lot cheaper than the G580 鈥 with the Mercedes starting from 拢155,000.
2. BMW XM Label Red
If all you want is for people to look at you in disgust as you drive by, the BMW XM is about as obnoxious as SUVs get. It鈥檚 available in some truly ghastly colour combinations, including high-vis jacket yellow with red details (vom), and the styling is questionable at best.
Like the Tesla though, it garners plenty of attention. It鈥檚 an automotive middle finger to reasonable members of society, making it an ideal Cybertruck alternative. 3. Ford F150 Super Snake
If you鈥檙e just dying for a big old slice of American pie, you can get a Ford F150 Super Snake imported and registered in the UK for the same price as a Tesla Cybertruck. It has a really aggressive-looking bodykit to help it stand out, but it鈥檚 what you get under the bonnet which sets this truck apart.
It has a 5.0-litre supercharged V8 with 750hp. While it won鈥檛 hold a candle to the Tesla Cyberbeast in a drag race, it makes a sound like thunder which will have ears pricking up within a three-mile radius.
4. Lotus Eletre
Rewind 20 years or so and no one would鈥檝e predicted a two-tonne electric SUV with a Lotus badge on the front 鈥 historically it鈥檚 a brand which is all about lightweight track weapons. Well the Eletre is Norfolk鈥檚 attempt at breaking into the luxury EV space.
It looks totally bonkers, especially in this bright yellow paint scheme, and with over 900hp on tap you can do 0-60mph in under 3.0 seconds 鈥 quick enough to have the Cybertruck shaking in its massive knobbly tyres. An Eletre 900 can be yours for around 拢121,000.
5. Hummer H1
The Tesla Cybertruck is a truly ridiculous vehicle, so in a way it鈥檚 a spiritual successor to the equally silly Hummer H1. The Hummer started out in life as a military vehicle before some bright spark decided to start selling them to civilians with little to no changes.
It鈥檚 enormous on the outside, but that bulk somehow translates to an interior with less passenger space than a small hatchback. It has a gigantic V8 diesel engine which turns gallons of fuel into noise and vibration 鈥 it certainly doesn鈥檛 turn it into forward momentum, because the H1 could be out-dragged by an iceberg. It鈥檚 a stupid car, and that鈥檚 why it makes a great Cybertruck alternative. Prices for early H1s start from around 拢70,000, rising to 拢100,000 for exceptional examples.
