1. Hyundai Santa Fe – 10/10

The Hyundai Santa Fe isn’t just the best car Hyundai sells right now, it’s the best SUV you can buy full stop. It’s hugely spacious, feels posh inside and it’s packed with tech, all for around £14,000 less than a Land Rover Discovery. No wonder it was crowned Á«»¨Ö±²¥â€™s Car Of The Year for 2025.
2. Hyundai Ioniq 5 N – 10/10

The Ioniq 5 N is another 10/10 car, making Hyundai the only brand on Á«»¨Ö±²¥ to have two perfect scores. This hot electric SUV proves that EVs can be huge fun to drive, with the convincing fake gearshifts adding a layer of involvement which is missing from most electric cars.
3. Hyundai Ioniq 5 – 9/10

The standard Ioniq 5 is a cracking car as well. It looks like it’s from a sci-fi film, but behind that bonkers-looking body is a really practical and comfortable family SUV. The cabin feels impressively posh as well, and you get 260kW DC fast charging which can top you up from 10-80% in just 18 minutes. It’s just a shame that the range isn’t as impressive as some alternatives.
4. Hyundai Inster – 8/10

Small, affordable electric cars are becoming more common in 2025, and the Hyundai Inster stands out with its cavernous practicality. It’s a bit like Dr Who’s TARDIS – with dinky dimensions which belie a spacious interior and a decent-sized boot. Some of the interior plastics do feel a bit cheap, but with prices starting from just £23,500 this is easy to forgive.
5. Hyundai Kona Electric – 8/10

If you’re after a spacious electric SUV with impressive range, check out the Hyundai Kona Electric. It can do up to 319 miles on a charge, 25 miles more than a Volvo EX30 can manage, and the 466-litre boot is impressive for a car of this size. Some of the driver assistance systems are a bit intrusive though.
6. Hyundai i10 – 8/10

Cars like the Hyundai i10 are getting rare these days. It’s an affordable small hatchback which comes with a frugal petrol engine and plenty of standard equipment. It’s even quite good fun to drive. Just don’t expect blistering performance, or cavernous practicality.
7. Hyundai Ioniq 6 – 7/10

Now we come to the last of Hyundai’s electric cars – the quirky-looking Ioniq 6 saloon. It’s a great alternative to something like a Tesla Model 3, but the styling won’t be to everyone’s taste. It’s great to drive though and all the tech is easy to use.
8. Hyundai Tucson – 7/10

The Hyundai Tucson is a great all-rounder for families. This SUV is available with a range of efficient petrol, hybrid and plug-in hybrid engines, has a big boot and a posh-feeling interior. It’s not quite as comfortable as a Volkswagen Tiguan though, and the wild styling is a bit polarising.
9. Hyundai Kona – 7/10

The petrol-powered Hyundai Kona shares many of the Electric version’s plus points. It’s practical, quiet on the motorway and looks striking, but the hybrid engine isn’t the most economical and it feels a touch firm over bumps.
10. Hyundai i20 – 7/10

If you’re after a solid, sensible small hatchback, the Hyundai i20 is a great choice. It may not be as exciting to look at as a Peugeot 208, but it’s got a good-sized boot, a sensible amount of kit on board and it’s really easy to drive around town.
11. Hyundai i30 – 7/10

Going for a Hyundai i30 is like choosing a hearty bowl of porridge at the hotel breakfast buffet – it’ll get the job done, but it’s in no way exciting. You get a spacious interior, plenty of standard equipment and it’s comfy to drive. The i30 is best described as adequate, but the Kia Ceed is equally capable and comes with a better seven-year warranty.
12. Hyundai Bayon – 6/10

There had to be a car in last place, and here it’s the Hyundai Bayon. It’s essentially a jacked-up version of the i20, only it has a smaller boot and is firmer over bumps. The Bayon is well-equipped and easy to drive, but a Volkswagen T-Cross is more spacious and comfortable for similar money.
