With the all-new Tesla Model Y just around the corner, there are some great deals available on the outgoing car. This was the UK鈥檚 most popular EV in 2024, and it鈥檚 easy to see why when you look at how much you get for your money.

Tesla Model Y leasing deals

Tesla is offering the outgoing Model Y for just 拢349 per month when you lease directly. This is spread over 36 months with a 拢4,187 up-front payment, and a generous mileage allowance of 10,000 per year.

An equivalent Kia EV6 would cost you around 拢370 per month with similar terms, while an Audi Q4 e-tron will set you back approximately 拢500 per month.

Tesla Model Y overview

So what do you get for your 拢349 per month? Well a lot of interior space for starters. The Model Y has loads of rear legroom, a cavernous boot and plenty of storage space in the cabin. It also has an excellent infotainment system, although it鈥檚 a bit annoying that everything is routed through the screen, even the button to open the glovebox.

Out on the road the Model Y is nice and easy to drive, with great forward visibility and light steering making tight car parks a doddle. It鈥檚 not quite as comfy over bumps as a Volvo EX40, but it鈥檚 still pretty relaxing on the move. This deal is for the Long-Range Rear-Wheel drive model, meaning you can do up to 372 miles on a charge.

If you鈥檙e out on a long road trip, keeping the battery topped up is easy thanks to unhindered access to Tesla鈥檚 excellent Supercharger network. It鈥檚 easy to use, reliable and there are plenty of locations across the country.

Tesla Model Y alternatives

If the Model Y doesn鈥檛 tickle your fancy, there are a couple of other options to consider in this price range. A Skoda Enyaq can be yours for a similar monthly payment, and it鈥檚 a comfy cruiser which is also hugely practical, although the Model Y鈥檚 boot is bigger.

The Hyundai Ioniq 5 also comes in at just a few pounds a month more than the Tesla, and it鈥檚 a great option if you鈥檙e looking for an EV which stands out. The range may not be as good as the Model Y鈥檚, but it鈥檚 comfy to drive and loaded with standard equipment.

Finally we have the Peugeot E-3008, one of the most stylish electric SUVs on the market today. It not only looks great on the outside, the interior looks fantastic as well. Some of the tech is annoying to use, but it鈥檚 a comfy motorway cruiser with decent range.
